Be prepared for nearly every eventuality on your bike rides with our guide to what to take and where to carry it.
We think that you need more of a contingency plan than a mobile phone when you’re riding your bike. It’s easy enough to be covered for most things that might happen out on the road using the three pockets on your cycling jersey and a saddlebag.
That’s right. We think that saddlebags are a good thing. Keep a couple of inner tubes, a puncture repair kit and your multi tool in there. This leaves your saddlebag free for a spare layer (raincape or gilet), a mini pump, your wallet and phone.
Always take some ID with an emergency contact number with you when you’re cycling.
